Job Summary

As a Process Technician Lead at Micron Products, you will be responsible for managing all product realization activities associated with Injection manufacturing, quality control, product distribution, and general maintenance with assigned product/service group. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all operational activities on Shift, ensuring seamless execution of production plans.
• Collaborate with Production Controller and Production Manager to schedule Injection Machines to meet customer deliverables.
• Set up and troubleshoot all injection molding machines during shift, addressing alarms and ensuring optimal performance.
• Maintain accurate documentation for Mold set up and job books, adhering to Process Data Log Sheets frequency.
• Ensure Line Clearance is completed at the end of every job, guaranteeing a smooth transition to the next production phase.
• Develop and implement safety initiatives, promoting a culture of safety throughout the organization.
• Approve employee time in Paylocity and ERP IQMS system, with Production Manager as backup.
• Work with Molding Shift Lead to cover breaks for all employees and ensure adequate coverage for all machines, shutting down lower-priority machines if necessary.
• Maintain awareness among the entire staff on Shift, including FT employees and Temps, regarding safety and operational procedures.
• Perform daily IQMS Production Report By Shift with accuracy, focusing on RealTime cycles and labor approvals.
• Engage in Shift to Shift Huddles with other Supervisors to ensure safety and cleanliness standards are met.
• Report daily scrap for all Injection Machines during your Shift, working with CIP to reduce scrap on the floor.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovative ideas and consideration for all operations.
• Report up any and all Machine cycle and labor inefficiencies, ensuring optimal production performance.
• Provide coverage in all areas for time off call-outs, working with Production Manager.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date operational documentation, reflecting current practices and product/customer requirements.
• Serve as a company representative for customer, vendor, and other third-party interactions as required.
• Ensure all Training is kept up to date for direct reports in alignment with QT-9.
• Adhere to all company policies and act as a role model in policy adherence.
• Possess a basic understanding of quality management systems related to ISO 9001.
• Assist Mfg Operations Manager with plans, implements, and maintains employee performance review, compensation, development, and disciplinary programs.
• Promote employee understanding and adherence to safety regulations and occupational health hazards.
• Provide leadership in the establishment and maintenance of all operational systems and process controls.
• Select, train, develop, and organize operational staff to perform and meet operational responsibilities and objectives.
• Strive for continuous improvement in the use of materials, machines, and employees.
• Support and lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
• Support and train in IQMS functionality.
• Support personnel development and manage the interpretation and application of company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science (BS) preferred but not required.
• 2-5+ years in Operational, Quality, or Manufacturing lead position is required.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret manufacturing, quality, financial, and general business reporting.
• Ability to generate clear and concise documents, reports, and correspondence.
• Ability to make presentations to small or large groups of employees, customers, suppliers, public, or top management.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts with respect to part geometry, probability, and statistics, and financial reports.
• ISO 9001 management and implementation experience is desired.
• Proficiency in the use of computer-based ERP systems is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required, with the ability to generate/edit clear and concise procedures, policies, and flowcharts.
