Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop a high-performing maintenance team to achieve exceptional results and drive continuous improvement.
  • Identify and deploy technical resources and systems to deliver projects, including the engagement of external experts as needed.
  • Monitor task completion and ensure good performance and record-keeping on management systems.
  • Manage equipment failures and plan and coordinate shutdowns to minimize downtime.
  • Develop and manage an annual departmental budget, including labor, outside contractors, parts, and materials.
  • Participate in capital project planning, including maintainability design, cost estimation, and payback justification.
  • Manage the introduction of new equipment, plant, and equipment from design to installation, collaborating with relevant parties.
  • Interact with vendors to exploit technology, purchase equipment, and services, and resolve long-term equipment, training, and process issues.
  • Assist in selecting contracting and vendors and support vendor/contract management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience of 8+ years.
  • 5+ years of maintenance leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems using formal techniques and failure analysis.
  • Experience in manufacturing, food processing, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and utilities processes and equipment.
  • Compliance experience with OSHA, EPA, PSM, and other relevant codes and regulations.
