Job Summary:We are looking for a caring and responsible individual to provide high-quality childcare for parents involved in Buckner classes, community connections, and other programming. As a Children's Program Aide, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and nurturing environment that stimulates self-confidence and trust in the children under your supervision.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide a growth-producing environment that fosters self-confidence and trust in children.
- Remain attentive to the physical, emotional, spiritual, and academic growth of the children under your supervision.
- Maintain a positive attitude and approach when working with children, parents, guests, and coworkers.
- Support the program in place for the children in care and have a regularly scheduled daily plan that includes elements of recreation, responsibility, and spirituality.
- Supervise children and implement appropriate discipline and supervision in accordance with Buckner policy, regulatory requirements, and standards.
- Complete paperwork and other documentation as required to develop and enhance children's skills.
- Participate with youth in character development/enhancement activities and service learning projects.
- Assist children with arts and crafts projects and implement recreation activities during summer camps.
- High School Diploma (or G.E.D.) required.
- Current CPR and First Aid certifications required; must attend CPR, First Aid, and restraint training as required.
- Ability to drive assigned vehicle(s) or personal vehicle, with appropriate state license, following all laws applicable; must provide proof of liability insurance and must be eligible to be insured under Buckner's insurance policy.
- Ability to use up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force continuously to move objects and/or people.
- Ability to walk, stand, and sit, sometimes for prolonged periods of time.
