Patient Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Tech to join our team at Premise Health in Jacksonville, FL.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in examination, treatment, and assistance of patients under the direction of a Physician, Advanced Practitioner, and/or RN in compliance with state practice acts and regulations.
- Interview patients, measure vital signs, and record information on patients' charts.
- Provide patients' personal hygiene, assist with travel to the bathroom/toileting, and activities of daily living.
- Prepare treatment rooms and patients for examination.
- Clean and sterilize instruments.
- Inventories and orders medical supplies and materials.
- Operate electrocardiograph (EKG) and other equipment to administer routine diagnostic tests.
- Perform routine CLIA waived laboratory tests/collects specimens for routine laboratory tests.
- Schedule appointments and make follow-up phone calls to patients.
- Perform administrative tasks, complete appropriate client company and OSHA regulated forms, and provide assistance at the front desk.
- Key data into computer to maintain clinic and patient records.
- CPR (BLS for the Healthcare Provider/Professional Rescuer) Certification.
- State Lab Certificate (NV only).
- Associate's degree or equivalent from an accredited Medical Assistant or Nursing Assistant Program training program (preferred).
- Work experience in a health center/doctor's office setting, patient, and/or long-term care.
- Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records (preferred).
