Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team at Cabarrus Community Health Centers, Inc. As a key member of our dental team, you will provide high-quality patient care, education, and services in a community-based setting.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Screen and evaluate patients for caries risk, periodontal pathology, medical history, and vital signs.
  2. Provide clinical services, including radiographs, prophylaxes, SRPs, and topical fluoride application.
  3. Offer preventive clinical and educational services to promote oral health.
  4. Perform expanded duties as delegated by the dentist and governed by NC law.
  5. Assist dentists, hygienists, and dental assistants with chair-side procedures as needed.
  6. Clean, disinfect, and sterilize surfaces, instruments, and equipment according to CDC, OSHA, and agency guidelines.
  7. Enter diagnostic and procedural information into the electronic dental record.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program with an active license to practice dental hygiene in NC.
  • Minimum of two years of clinical dental hygiene experience preferred.
  • Ability to meet qualifications of training for Public Health Hygienists per NC Dental Board within two years preferred.
  • Valid license to practice as a dental hygienist in North Carolina and current CPR certification.
