Job Title: Mammography Technologist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Mammography Technologist to join our team at Cynet Health. As a Mammography Technologist, you will be responsible for performing imaging procedures according to physician's orders, using knowledge and judgment regarding exposure factors, imaging techniques, and patient treatment.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform imaging procedures according to physician's orders
Proficient in the field of Mammography and General Radiology
Position patients for diagnostic imaging according to department procedures, training, and machine requirements
Operate imaging equipment, determine and set exposure factors, and set techniques utilizing all relevant factors to ensure accurate and quality images with minimal repeat rates
Use computer image processing to select and optimize images
Present exams and related patient information to radiologist for diagnosis
Assist with patient transport by moving patients using standard procedures
Perform a complete range of departmental mammographic exams from screening to stereotactic
Gather complete documentation to provide accurate and timely service to customers
Correctly identify patients by checking I.D., full name, and DOB according to department procedure
Review patient questionnaire and orders to ensure correct examination
Label images completely with demographic, position, and other needed documentation
Log activities, gather charging information, and charge exams as required
Competently perform quality control and quality assurance, record results, and report variance from normal equipment function to meet MQSA standards
Protect patients and others in the area by using proper machine settings and radiation safety standards
Practice universal and blood and body fluid precautions, and sterile practices according to procedures
Clearly communicate and use knowledge of related anatomy and physiology to ensure appropriate and effective care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
Maintain awareness of patient status and take appropriate actions to meet their needs
Follow all departmental policies and procedures
Apply the department standards of service excellence to internal and external customers

Requirements:
A minimum of six consecutive months of breast imaging experience within the last year in Mammography required
Current state licensure. Must meet MQSA requirements for mammographers
Registration in ARRT (M) Mammography within six months from date of hire
Valid, approved BLS certification
Epic experience
