Position Overview

The Clinical Manager for Wound Care Services is responsible for the development, execution, and coordination of wound care initiatives through collaborative interdisciplinary efforts and adherence to established wound care protocols and standards. This role involves maintaining up-to-date knowledge of care standards and leading the Wound Care Committee by organizing regular meetings, creating agendas, and overseeing meeting documentation and reporting to the Quality Improvement Committee.

Key Responsibilities

- Supervise the completion of comprehensive hospital-wide Wound Care Studies.
- Collaborate with corporate partners to enhance the hospital's wound care program.
- Direct the formulation and periodic revision of policies, forms, protocols, and care standards related to wound care, including the Standardized Procedure for Wound Care.
- Act as a clinical resource for the management and treatment of patients with wound care needs.
- Provide direct patient care, including regular rounds on wound care patients and addressing care concerns with healthcare professionals, patients, and their families.

Qualifications

To be considered for the Clinical Manager role, candidates must meet the following requirements:
  • A minimum of three years of experience as a Registered Nurse in an acute care environment.
  • Proven experience in coordinating wound care programs, including planning, implementation, and evaluation of outcomes.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in nursing or a related field is required.
  • Current nursing license to practice in the state of California.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
