Role Responsibilities:
Are you prepared to make a substantial difference in the lives of individuals facing addiction challenges? As a Therapist at The Edge, you will be a vital part of our team-oriented recovery approach. We are in search of empathetic professionals who excel in a therapeutic setting and are committed to guiding our clients on their healing journey.
Your responsibilities will include working with clients recently diagnosed with substance use disorders. This role requires you to maintain professional boundaries while building positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders. You will be tasked with assessing client needs, monitoring progress, and implementing effective treatment strategies in accordance with ethical and clinical standards.
Key Duties:
- Establish and sustain positive, professional relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
- Conduct comprehensive client assessments and maintain thorough progress documentation.
- Prepare and uphold accurate treatment records and reports.
- Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions focused on overcoming dependencies and fostering positive change.
- Collaborate with team members during staff meetings and clinical supervision.
- Develop realistic treatment objectives with clients, adhering to ethical and legal guidelines.
Required Skills:
- Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office and KIPU Systems Client Management Software)
- Understanding of the substance treatment field: 12-step terminology, CBT, MI, etc.
- Experience with KIPU Systems Client Management Software.
Experience Requirements:
- Mid-level candidates: Required hours completed; license examination scheduled.
- Basic candidates: 2,500 hours towards licensure completed; AMFTs must have completed child hours.
Additional Certifications & Licenses:
- CPR/First Aid Certification
- Valid Driver's License
- Negative TB test results within the past year
- Medical clearance to work within the past year
- Ability to pass random drug screenings
Work Environment: On-site position in Santa Ana, CA; remote work options are not available.
