Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement efficient driver scheduling strategies to optimize coverage and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with the Warehouse and Transportation team to ensure timely communication of any issues or challenges.
  • Maintain accurate records of fleet operations, regulatory compliance, and other relevant information.
  • Provide regular updates to management on fleet status, driver performance, maintenance issues, and operational concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and other driver and transportation laws.

Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience in logistics and transportation.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with drivers, team members, and management.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and report quickly.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with Fleet Management System (FMS), preferably Geotab, and Office 365., as well as food distribution software.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: In-depth understanding of DOT regulations and transportation laws.
