Description
Are you a seasoned finance expert poised to take on a critical role? We are in search of a skilled Financial Controller to manage our accounting operations at Little Creek Casino Resort.
Your proficiency will be vital in ensuring adherence to regulations, sustaining financial health, and steering strategic financial choices that propel our success.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Policies and Procedures:
Develop and implement policies to guarantee precise and trustworthy financial reporting within a strong internal control framework.
Cash Flow Management:
Supervise and enhance cash-on-hand levels, along with daily cash flow reports.
Budgeting:
Spearhead the creation and oversight of property and departmental budgets, including capital expenditures.
Financial Analysis:
Execute comprehensive reviews and evaluations of financial statements and reports, offering insights to directors and managers as necessary.
Financial Reporting:
Direct the timely preparation and dissemination of monthly financial statements and quarterly financial reports in accordance with bank reporting and covenant obligations.
Departmental Standards:
Establish departmental standards, guidelines, and objectives to ensure effective planning and operational efficiency across designated areas.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure meticulous tracking and timely submission of regulatory documents, including gaming taxes, 1099s, 1042s, and W-2Gs.
Gaming Operations Review:
Conduct thorough analytical reviews of gaming operations, concentrating on compliance and accuracy in theoretical and actual win calculations.
Promotions Analysis:
Lead the evaluation of promotions and gaming operations to assess their financial implications for the casino.
Annual Audit Report:
Oversee and manage the preparation and issuance of the Annual Audit Report.
Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in business, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
30 semester credit hours of accounting AND either an MBA, CPA, or CMA is preferred.
A minimum of five years' experience as an Accounting Manager, Revenue Audit Manager, Assistant Controller, or Controller is required.
Experience in a gaming environment is preferred.
Must successfully pass a background check.
