Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at New River Electrical Corporation. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining financial models, analyzing budget, forecast and actual results, and providing guidance for organizational decision making.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Planning and Analysis
    • Consolidate and analyze financial data (budget, income statement forecasts, etc.) considering company's goals and financial standing.
    • Develop financial models, conduct benchmarking and process analysis to support organizational decision making.
  • Financial Reporting and Forecasting
    • Identifies financial status by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts.
    • Improves financial status by analyzing results, monitoring variances, identifying trends, and recommending improvements to management.
  • Financial Data Management
    • Track and determine financial status by analyzing actual results in comparison with forecasts.
    • Develop and maintain cash forecast model.
    • Develop automated reporting and forecasting tools for more efficient use of data.
  • Process Improvement and Policy Development
    • Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the function.
    • Protects company by keeping financial information confidential.
  • Professional Development
    • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publications.
    • Maintain electronic and physical filing systems.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field and a minimum of five (5) years of related work experience.
  • Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Vista, preferred but not required.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational, communication (both written and verbal), and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to identify data patterns.
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
Travel and Physical Demands

Minimal travel may be required. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk and hear. The employee is required to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods of time.
