Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care Unit team at Fairview Park Hospital. As a critical care registered nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the hospital's mission to deliver high-quality healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide quality patient care, adhering to the hospital's philosophy and objectives.
  • Prescribe, delegate, and coordinate all nursing care provided to assigned patients, ensuring compliance with performance, nursing practice, and nursing care standards.
  • Assess and reassess patient condition, initiate a plan of care, and begin discharge planning on admission.
  • Maintain and apply current nursing standards and clinical competency, including the National Patient Safety Goals, and apply critical thinking skills to prioritize and problem-solve.
  • Meet the personal and practical needs of patients and families, utilizing effective communication skills and reflecting the hospital's values and ethical principles.
  • Accept accountability for completion of assignments, demonstrate reliability and dependability, and utilize time and material cost-effectively.
  • Continue self-development, provide leadership, and actively participate in Performance Improvement Activities, directing others as needed.
Requirements
  • Acute care or critical care experience is strongly preferred.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current Georgia RN licensure or compact license.
  • Current CPR certification issued by the American Heart Association.
  • ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire.
  • Certification in specialty area preferred.
