CT Technologist

Overview

Hillcrest Hospital Cushing is seeking a skilled CT Technologist to join our team. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for operating the C.T. scanner, transporting patients to and from the department, and handling telephone scheduling of inpatients and outpatients. You will also be responsible for calling the physician with the report of the exam and demonstrating knowledge of contrast media injections and reactions. Additionally, you will participate in performance improvement initiatives and assist with other activities as deemed necessary for the day-to-day operation of the department.

Responsibilities

- Operate the C.T. scanner and transport patients to and from the department
- Handle telephone scheduling of inpatients and outpatients
- Call the physician with the report of the exam
- Demonstrate knowledge of contrast media injections and reactions
- Participate in performance improvement initiatives
- Assist with other activities as deemed necessary for the day-to-day operation of the department

Qualifications

- Be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (A.R.R.T.) or registry eligible
- If registry eligible upon hire, become registered within one year of employment and maintain registry while employed
- BLS Certification
- Previous experience preferred
