Key Responsibilities:

Core Duties:


The Electromechanical Maintenance Specialist is a skilled role requiring specialized training in electrical design, installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair tasks.


Must demonstrate strong leadership skills and meet company standards, including maintaining an exemplary attendance record.


Conducts work requiring comprehensive knowledge of electrical theory, National Electrical Code (NEC), material properties, and operational principles of electrical equipment.

Initiates and terminates equipment operations in accordance with company safety protocols and OSHA regulations.

Ability to utilize electrical testing equipment and effectively isolate defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other electrical apparatus.
Services electronic devices by inspecting, testing, and replacing defective components, circuits, and printed circuit boards.
Knowledge of low and high voltage electrical systems and fundamental wiring principles.
Ability to measure, cut, thread, pull, and install electrical conduit, as well as use hand and power tools relevant to the trade.

Installs conduits, transformers, pull boxes, and switches.

Services and repairs starters, motors, and various electrical equipment and apparatus.
Fabricates parts not commercially available using common machine and hand tools.
Identifies needs for adjustments, repairs, and overhauls, and executes them as necessary.
Troubleshoots and repairs electric controls, motor control centers, and programmable logic controls (PLC).
Proficient in programming, troubleshooting, and maintaining PLCs.
Installs and repairs electrical equipment, designs electrical control circuits, and installs wiring. Produces electrical and electronic schematics.
Identifies equipment and material requirements for projects. Reads and interprets blueprints and schematics.
Coordinates project needs with Maintenance and Production Supervisors/Managers.
Demonstrates effective communication skills, both oral and written, to Management, employees, and contractors. Provides leadership to ensure compliance with all safety programs.

Knowledge of electrical terminology, materials, methods, tools, and equipment used in the inspection, repair, installation, service, and maintenance of electrical systems.

Familiarity with applicable code sections related to this field (i.e., National Electrical Code of the Industrial Accident Commission).

Understanding of electrical theory principles, including amperage/voltage load requirements and calculations.

Ability to work from blueprints, sketches, and shop drawings.

Collaborates with service personnel and contractors to ensure quality workmanship.

Assists in the training and skill development of other maintenance personnel and production associates as needed.

Must consistently demonstrate proficiency in the job skill level as per the requirements outlined in the job description.

Participates in all plant emergencies as required and maintains any necessary certifications or training mandated by management to respond to specific plant emergencies.

Must be willing to engage in and successfully complete any job-related educational courses or training programs as required to enhance skill levels for advancement opportunities.Performs additional duties of a similar nature and level of responsibility as required.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:
Five years of journey-level industrial experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing industrial equipment.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics, identify, and rectify equipment failures.
Experienced in performing precision equipment alignments.
Working knowledge of fabrication, installation, and maintenance of production and support equipment (e.g., arc welders, oxy-acetylene torches, saws, drills, grinders, pumps, engines).
Must maintain a non-disciplinary status regarding job performance and attendance.
Ability to accept responsibility and empowerment in the role, performing functions with minimal supervision.
Must satisfactorily meet testing and training requirements.
