Job Description

The Senior Machine Learning Engineer will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our data-driven perception simulation pipeline. This includes applying state-of-the-art approaches for Neural Rendering in a scalable production setting, contributing to our data workflow, and communicating with stakeholders such as machine learning and testing teams.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Advance modern simulation techniques by using state-of-the-art ML approaches and computer vision techniques
  • Monitor, evaluate, and integrate the latest research advances in Neural Rendering and related domains to a production environment
  • Deliver key contributions to design, architecture, and implementation of a neural rendering framework that allows for scaling perception simulation
  • Integrate the framework in a cloud environment and automate the pipeline to allow scaling for the target verification and validation of our autonomous trucks
  • Develop sensor models for camera, LIDAR, and RADAR and apply them to a Neural Rendering setting
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A BS, MS, or PhD in computer vision, machine learning, computer science, computer engineering, or a related field
  • 5+ years of software development experience or a PhD in machine learning, Computer Vision, or a related field
  • Strong experience in Python and science libraries like Numpy, SciPy, Pandas, and Matplotlib
  • Experience with one or more deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow
  • Expert knowledge of the principles, algorithms, and tools of applied Deep Learning, including model training strategies, data processing, cost functions, quality metrics, etc.
  • Experience with 3D Computer Vision or rendering algorithms
  • Experience in applying machine learning towards rendering, 3D computer vision, or related fields, preferably multiple projects in these core areas
