Position Overview

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the effective receipt, storage, and distribution of materials, tools, equipment, and products within a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. This role encompasses a variety of essential functions aimed at maintaining operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

+ Manage the receipt and unloading of incoming shipments, ensuring thorough inspection for damage and accuracy.

+ Operate various material handling equipment, including fork trucks and pallet jacks, to facilitate the movement of goods throughout the warehouse.

+ Review packing slips for accuracy against received materials and input data into the ERP system to maintain accurate inventory records.

+ Label materials with necessary identifying information as required.

+ Organize and store parts in designated locations within the warehouse, following a systematic approach based on size, type, and product code.

+ Utilize the ERP system to assess customer material requirements and manage the release of parts for orders.

+ Interpret pick tickets to locate and retrieve parts for distribution or outbound shipment.

+ Generate shipping documents using carrier websites and coordinate freight shipments with customers or carriers, including preparation of parcel packages and LTL loads.

+ Request warehouse supplies as necessary to maintain operational flow.

+ Conduct inventory cycle counts as assigned to ensure accuracy in stock levels.

Qualifications and Skills

+ High school diploma or equivalent is required.

+ A minimum of three (3) years of experience in warehouse operations or inventory management.

+ Forklift operation experience is mandatory.

+ Strong attendance record is essential.

+ Demonstrated initiative, dedication, and problem-solving abilities.

+ Availability for weekend and overtime work is required.

+ Ability to work in an industrial setting, which may include exposure to temperature extremes, dust, noise, and outdoor conditions, while adhering to safety protocols.

+ Physical capability to lift up to 50 lbs, along with skills in pulling, reaching, and climbing.

+ Successful completion of a drug test is required.

+ Proven self-motivation and discipline in completing tasks independently with minimal supervision.

+ Familiarity with NetSuite ERP is considered a plus.
