We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Product Engineer to join our team at Esri, a leading provider of geographic information system (GIS) software. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and testing AI Copilot experiences to assist our users in ways that have never been achieved before.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with our global team of software engineers, product engineers, designers, product managers, and release engineers to deliver cutting-edge capabilities.
  • Design and Develop AI Copilot Experiences: Contribute to the design and usability of ArcGIS Pro AI Copilot, ensuring that it meets the needs of our users.
  • Develop and Implement Test Cases: Develop and implement test cases and validate bug fixes to ensure the quality of our AI Copilot experiences.
  • Contribute to the Maintenance and Growth of Automated Test Suite: Contribute to the maintenance, monitoring, and growth of the automated test suite to ensure that our AI Copilot experiences are reliable and efficient.
  • Troubleshoot Production Issues: Troubleshoot production issues in current and past software versions to ensure that our users have a seamless experience.
  • Research and Stay Up-to-Date with Latest Advances: Research and stay up to date with the latest advances in AI and application development frameworks to ensure that our AI Copilot experiences are state-of-the-art.
  • Share and Distribute Workflows and Projects: Share and distribute your workflows and projects in samples, tutorials, blog articles, videos, and help documentation to help our users get the most out of our AI Copilot experiences.
Requirements
  • 5+ Years of Experience: 5+ years of experience using an application development language (Python, C#).
  • Knowledge of AI and Machine Learning: Knowledge of AI and Machine Learning concepts, including building training datasets and fine-tuning/training AI models (NLP or vision).
  • Ability to Work Well in a Collaborative Environment: Ability to work well in a highly collaborative environment, with strong analytical problem-solving abilities and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Software Development Processes: Knowledge of software development processes, including version control systems and agile methodologies.
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in GIS, computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
Recommended Qualifications
  • Experience with Natural Language Processing: Experience with natural language processing and generative models, including building AI applications using frameworks such as Semantic Kernel or LangChain.
  • Experience with Cloud Services: Experience with cloud services like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
  • Familiarity with Esri ArcGIS Platform Technologies: Familiarity with Esri ArcGIS platform technologies, including ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.
  • Knowledge of UI/UX Design Techniques: Knowledge of UI/UX design techniques, including user research and usability testing.
  • Master's Degree: Master's degree in GIS, computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
