Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Analog IC Design Engineer to join our dynamic team at Apple. As a key member of our group, you will have the opportunity to craft innovative products that will delight and inspire millions of Apple's customers every day.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop specifications for analog portions of ICs
  • Conduct behavioral modeling to validate architectures
  • Perform transistor-level feasibility studies for various blocks in ADC/DAC
  • Craft blocks and document design towards formal design reviews
  • Drive mask design to implement layout views of designs
  • Conduct top-level simulations to validate top-level integration
  • Define production/bench-level test plans
  • Take lab measurements to validate analog designs
  • Drive/review yield/lab test results to drive bug fixes
  • Design for ESD compliance
Requirements
  • Proven track record of taking chips to production in ADC/DAC architectures
  • Deep knowledge of band-gaps, bias, op-amps, switched-cap circuits, LDOs, feedback, and compensation techniques
  • Significant knowledge of low noise design techniques
  • Significant knowledge of high precision techniques in presence of device mismatch
  • Experience in C/Matlab/Verilog modeling
  • Strong device physics knowledge as it applies to analog IC designs
  • Proven working experience in using spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, etc. to validate analog designs
  • Extensive experience working with production test engineers to firm up test plans and design for testability details
Education & Experience

Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering and 3+ years of experience preferred

Additional Requirements

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
