We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician III - Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at Cornerstone Building Brands. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining complex manufacturing equipment to ensure production processes are reliable and consistent.
Key Responsibilities- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex manufacturing equipment, including electrical systems, instrument control systems, and power distribution systems.
- Conduct medium voltage troubleshooting and repair (480 VAC) (750VDC) electrical testing, including insulation integrity and partial discharge testing.
- Work with production departments to schedule troubleshooting and repairs of equipment issues.
- Maintain a strong focus on safety, ensuring the safe operation, troubleshooting, repair, and documentation of all activities regarding manufacturing equipment.
- Perform duties safely and ensure the safety of others by wearing proper protective equipment, following Lock Out/Tag Out procedures, and complying with other safety practices and procedures.
- High School Diploma or recognized equivalent.
- Minimum of five years of experience in a maintenance mechanic function, or equivalent related experience.
- Ability to perform general mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, fractions, percentages, and division.
- Some positions may require advanced mathematics.
- Must demonstrate proficiency in resolving unexpected events and circumstances.
- Hand and power tools, shop machine tools, testing equipment, and ability to read different measuring devices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist.
- The employee is frequently required to walk, stand, sit, bend, stoop, use hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, lift, climb, and/or balance essential tasks.
- Specific vision abilities include close-up and distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
