We are seeking an experienced I&C Project Engineer to join our team at Allied Staff Augmentation Partners, Inc. (ASAP, Inc.).

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will work with a cross-functional team to evaluate modifications to the plant design, reviewing and preparing engineering products, overseeing contracted engineering work, and providing technical support and input.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and/or prepare engineering products, including Design/Engineering Change packages, Specifications, Calculations, and Technical Evaluations.
  • Oversee contracted engineering work and ensure consistency and compliance with company and industry standards.
  • Provide technical support, input, and oversight for Factory and Site Acceptance Testing and Simulations.
  • Interface with primary equipment suppliers and project stakeholders to support technical reviews and input.
  • Analyze engineering risk and failure modes and incorporate mitigating strategies in designs.
  • Report and present status to engineering team lead, project managers, and management team on a periodic basis.
  • Support construction/implementation phase, including design updates, field change evaluations, and resolution of technical issues.

Requirements:

  • 4-year Electrical Engineering Degree or equivalent extensive electrical engineering field experience.
  • Valid U.S. Professional Engineer license can be used in lieu of a 4-year degree.
  • Experience with nuclear power plant design, systems, and components.
  • Strong background in Electrical, Computer, or I&C Engineering fields.
  • Specification, technical, engineering writing ability.
  • MUST have Design Qualification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Nuclear Operations experience (SRO/STA) or equivalent.
  • Engineering specification qualification.
  • Candidates will be expected to have or gain familiarity with the nuclear power plant design, including the Electrical Distribution System and/or the Instrumentation and Control Systems at the station.

Additional Requirements:

  • 6+ years of directly-related electrical power design engineering experience in a power generating station, nuclear background strongly preferred.
  • 10+ years of industry experience.
