Maintenance Planner Role

About the Job

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong background in maintenance planning and coordination. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust preventative and predictive maintenance schedules, working closely with cross-functional teams to convert work requirements into clear, achievable maintenance plans, and planning and prioritizing maintenance tasks, shutdowns, and project work in coordination with maintenance, storeroom, and purchasing teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule Development and Maintenance: Create and maintain robust preventative and predictive maintenance schedules in the CMMS.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with all departments to convert work requirements into clear, achievable maintenance plans.
  • Maintenance Planning: Plan and prioritize maintenance tasks, shutdowns, and project work in coordination with maintenance, storeroom, and purchasing teams.
  • Job Plan Preparation: Prepare detailed job plans for maintenance activities, including safety instructions and special precautions.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain maintenance and equipment records; generate compliance reports, track work orders, and analyze labor utilization and equipment costs.
  • Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety Culture.
Requirements
  • 5+ years working in a manufacturing environment as a millwright, electrician, or other equivalent technical trade, and/or has experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to read blueprints and some drafting.
  • Proficient PC operation and experience in (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, Preventive Maintenance Systems, etc.).
  • Demonstrated strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good organizational skills and demonstrated ability to multi-task.
