Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated Recreation Therapist to join our team at Sevita. As a Recreation Therapist, you will play a vital role in providing therapeutic recreation-based treatment programs to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized recreation therapy plans to meet the unique needs of each participant.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and support.
  • Provide education and training to staff and participants on recreational therapy techniques and best practices.
  • Assess and evaluate participant progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with participants, families, and funders to ensure seamless care coordination.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Recreation Therapy or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a rehabilitation environment, preferably with individuals with IDD.
  • CTRS certification and knowledge of rehabilitative techniques.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the region.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
