About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Nurse to join our team at South Kansas City Surgicenter. As a Surgical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our Ambulatory Surgery department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough pre-procedure assessments to evaluate patients' medical histories and potential risks associated with the procedure.
  • Prepare the operating room, including setting up equipment, positioning devices, medication, specimens, and/or implants.
  • Transfer and position the patient on the operating table, ensuring safety and comfort.
  • Assist the healthcare provider during the procedure, preparing the patient, organizing supplies, and providing support as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of each phase of the peri-operative process and perform safe patient care throughout the entire peri-op patient experience.
Requirements
  • Current and valid state RN License.
  • Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
  • Current PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
  • Minimum of one year previous Perioperative experience or on-the-job training.
  • Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Work Environment

Our Ambulatory Surgery department is a dynamic and fast-paced environment that requires attention to detail and excellent communication skills. As a Surgical Nurse, you will work closely with our team of healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.
