In the capacity of Principal Engineer, you will be instrumental in delivering technical guidance and leadership within our Building Environments Group.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  2. Demonstrated experience in a leadership role within an MEP Engineering Consultancy or a related field.
  3. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences, including non-technical stakeholders.
  4. Proven capability to manage multiple projects, teams, and deadlines while ensuring client satisfaction.
  5. A self-motivated individual with an entrepreneurial mindset, capable of working independently while also collaborating effectively within a team environment.
  6. Expertise in mentoring and developing junior engineers to promote growth within the team.
  7. Experience in business development, client acquisition, and sustaining long-term client relationships is advantageous.

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE:

  1. Possess over 15 years of extensive experience in Mechanical Engineering design within the building services and construction sector.
  2. Hold a bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline.
  3. Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of building codes and mechanical design principles.
  4. Demonstrate a successful track record of project delivery across various sectors and regions.
  5. Possess excellent technical knowledge of HVAC systems, along with a solid understanding of other MEP building systems, with the ability to analyze and provide effective solutions to technical challenges.
  6. Skilled in high-performance building design utilizing electrified design solutions for both adaptive reuse and new construction projects, with an understanding of the impact of design solutions on a building's carbon footprint and commercial viability.
  7. Be a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) or hold equivalent professional certification.
  8. LEED AP accreditation is preferred, reflecting a commitment to sustainable design practices.
  9. Familiarity with industry-standard software such as Revit for detailed design documentation and computational analysis tools, including CFD and energy modeling software, to develop innovative and energy-efficient solutions.
