Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Recreation Program Coordinator to join our team at the City of Dublin, OH. As a Recreation Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and implementing instructional programs for participants ages 8-17. This role will primarily provide instruction in the Dublin Community Recreation Center's new esports programming center: the Respawn Lounge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan specific, age-appropriate activities for seasonal program offerings
  • Lead, instruct, demonstrate, and supervise all program activities as assigned
  • Enforce safety policies and procedures and maintain clean, safe activity areas throughout all program times
  • Work with Recreation Program Coordinator & Supervisor to help resolve issues that arise within seasonal programs
  • Communicate effectively with Recreation Program Coordinator & Supervisor and program participants prior to, during, and at the conclusion of each seasonal program offering
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Current American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid certification or ability to obtain certification within 60 days of hire
  • Ability to effectively communicate with participants and parents
  • Availability to work afternoons, evenings or weekends dependent on the program schedule
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree from a college university with a major in Recreation, Leisure Management, or related field -or-
  • At least one year of previous STEAM programming instruction
  • Ability to provide age appropriate instruction for ages 8-17
