Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

As an Aerial Technician, your primary duties will include:

1. **Installation and Maintenance**: You will be responsible for the installation and repair of aerial telecommunications cables, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

2. **Tool and Equipment Operation**: Safely utilize various hand tools and equipment, including wrenches, drills, ladders, and climbing hooks, to perform your tasks efficiently.

3. **Mechanized Equipment Handling**: Operate mechanized equipment such as bucket trucks and digger derricks, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

4. **Safety Protocols**: Establish safety perimeters using appropriate signage and barriers, and flag traffic when necessary to maintain a secure work environment.

5. **Regulatory Compliance**: Understand and apply separation and clearance regulations to ensure compliance with industry standards.

6. **Aerial Work**: Work aloft using climbing hooks and ladders, demonstrating the ability to safely navigate heights.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

1. Minimum age of 18 years.
2. Authorized to work in the United States.
3. Ability to pass a DOT physical exam and maintain a valid medical card.
4. Possession of a valid standard Driver's License or Class A Commercial Driver's License.
5. Previous experience in construction, particularly within the telecommunications sector.
6. Familiarity with established aerial cable installation techniques.
7. Capability to climb telephone poles and work at heights of up to 40 feet.
8. Physical ability to lift and carry weights of 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed.
9. Willingness to work overtime, including weekends and emergency call-outs.
10. Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment in all weather conditions.
