Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Credit Associate to join our credit and collections team at Heritage Cooperative. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for collecting past due customer accounts, communicating with customers, and working with cash application.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct collection calls to collect Accounts Receivable
  • Answer incoming calls and assist customers with account questions
  • Work with cash application to ensure accurate and timely payments
  • Reconcile customer statements and billings to identify and resolve discrepancies
  • Review individual customer accounts to identify and select delinquent accounts for collections and credit holds
  • Communicate credit department policy and procedures to company personnel
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive customer information with discretion
  • Minimize bad debt risk and maximize accounts receivable collections
  • Collaborate with multiple departments to resolve customer payment issues and discrepancies
Requirements
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Highly organized with a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Strong time management and prioritization skills
  • Ability to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels within the company
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
  • 3-5 years collections experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
