Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Dietary Assistant to join our team at CHI Health Midlands. As a key member of our Food and Nutrition department, you will play a vital role in ensuring our patients receive exceptional care and service.

Responsibilities
  • Visit patients to confirm daily menu selection and communicate diet-related needs to clinical team members.
  • Accurately complete patient tray process, including menu selections, tray assembly, delivery, and pickup.
  • Transport ReTherm carts and room service transport carts to and from the Food and Nutrition department, patient rooms, and hospital locations.
  • Work cooperatively with team members, patients, and patient unit staff to coordinate customer services.
  • Ensure patient satisfaction scores are met and accurate processing of patient information from written and verbal communication.
  • Promote customer satisfaction through courteous and confidential service, resolving customer requests in a timely manner.
  • Conduct Hospitality Rounds following each meal and provide caring and responsive service to patients daily.
  • Inventories, gathers, and delivers floor stock to units as designed by each facility.
Qualifications
  • Preferred: Minimum of 1 year of direct patient care in a hospital setting and/or 1 year minimum in food service.
  • Knowledge equivalent to a high school education.
