A reputable plaintiff-focused Employment & Personal Injury law firm is in search of two full-time, experienced Litigation Paralegals or Litigation Secretaries for its office. The ideal candidates will be responsible for managing all facets of personal injury and employment cases from pre-litigation through trial.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe selected individuals will be expected to:
- Possess a minimum of five (5+) years of experience in a plaintiff litigation environment, specifically as a trial paralegal or legal secretary.
- Draft Summons and Complaints, and have familiarity with CEB legal forms or Legal Solution.
- File Minor's Compensation cases.
- Prepare documents for discovery responses and propounding for attorney review.
- Manage calendaring for both Federal and State Courts.
- Compile trial binders and relevant documents.
- Summarize deposition transcripts as required.
- Summarize complex medical records.
- File documents in California and Nevada State and Federal Courts, with proficiency in Federal filing and California State procedures.
- Collaborate with multiple attorneys to ensure deadlines are met.
- Exhibit complete proficiency with computer systems (Adobe Pro, Office Suite, Excel, Outlook, etc.), as the office operates in a fully paperless and cloud-based environment.
- Prepare and serve subpoenas in both Federal and State courts.
- Coordinate court-call arrangements and ECF filings.
- Spanish language skills are a plus.
