Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at Mille Lacs Health System. As a Physical Therapist, you will conduct medically prescribed Physical Therapy examinations and treatments, supporting our mission and vision of delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and treat disabilities, injuries, and diseases through the use of manual therapy, exercise, and effective properties of water, heat, light, and electricity.
  • Establish an individualized plan of care with appropriate measurable short-term and long-term goals and expected functional outcomes in accordance with examination findings.
  • Administer treatment complying with the MN PT Practice Act, Code of Ethics, Guide for Professional Conduct, Standards of Practice for Physical Therapy and facility and departmental Policies and Procedures.
  • Monitor and assess progress or lack of, response to treatment, and results of treatment on a continual basis.
  • Provide home care education and instruction and assist in discharge planning.
Requirements
  • Satisfactory completion of the academic and clinical requirements of an Accredited Program in Physical Therapy.
  • Current license to practice physical therapy in the state of Minnesota.
  • Maintains mandatory continuing education requirements.
  • Demonstrates confidence in physical therapy knowledge base and experience.
  • Ability to work in a team setting and establish respectful rapport with co-workers.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to changing work situations and schedules.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Possession of attention to detail, organization and prioritization skills.
  • Maintains a good record of attendance and punctuality.
  • Valid Minnesota driver's license and insurable by facility carrier.
