Travel Nurse Position in Pediatric Intensive Care

Tact Staff is currently seeking a Travel Nurse RN specializing in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). This role involves providing exceptional care to critically ill children in a travel nursing capacity.

Position Overview
  • Specialty: PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care

  • Shift: 12 hours
  • Weekly Hours: 36 hours

This position requires the nurse to work three 12-hour night shifts, with a schedule of 7 PM to 7:30 AM. The nurse will be expected to rotate weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

The travel nurse will:

  • Provide care for patients in the PICU with a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:3.
  • Float to various pediatric units within the facility as required.
  • Be flexible with scheduling, accommodating unit needs and manager approvals.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Pediatric ICU.
  • Licensure: Valid South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN License.
  • Certifications: BLS and PALS (American Heart Association accepted).
  • Preferred Experience: Familiarity with ECMO and CRRT.

Note: Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis, with potential adjustments to the bill rate.
