About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Public Health Laboratory Assistant to join our team at the County of Los Angeles, CA. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our test results.

In this critical role, you will be responsible for providing technical direction to a group of lower-level laboratory positions, assigning and reviewing their work to ensure efficient unit operation. You will also be expected to train personnel in the performance of lower-level laboratory work and resolve scheduling, work assignment, technical and operational problems within established guidelines.

With a strong background in laboratory work and experience in a public health, medical or biological laboratory, you will be well-equipped to handle the demands of this challenging role.
