Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Imaging Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for operating MRI scanners, ensuring patient safety, and delivering high-quality scans. Key Responsibilities
  • Operate MRI scanners to perform high-quality scans, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Order and manage supplies, clean equipment, and prepare scan rooms to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and report them to the relevant department.
  • Utilize ancillary tools and equipment, such as PACS and software systems, to support diagnostic imaging processes.
  • Image Post Processing: responsible for post-processing images, including transferring images to PACS and ensuring all post-processing steps are complete.
  • Leadership: provide training and guidance to new technologists on patient safety, room preparation, effective communication, image acquisition, time management, and post-processing.
Requirements
  • A strong foundation in MRI imaging and patient safety.
  • Licensure with the appropriate board, such as ARMRIT or ARRT (MR), depending on the location of the role.
  • BLS - Basic Life Support certification.
  • Completion of an accredited Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) program or radiologic technology program.
  • Clinical work experience of at least 2 years.
  • Ability to understand, perform, and accurately complete all examinations on MRI equipment, following clinic practices and procedures.
  • Proficiency in running advanced MR studies independently.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team and thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate patient care skills, with the ability to explain complex medical terms and procedures in a clear and concise manner.
  • A willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing technologies.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication skills, and a customer-focused attitude.
  • Pride in work and ability to critically assess image quality.
