Job Summary

The Electromagnetic Test Specialist will be working in the Electromagnetic Facility, assisting in electromagnetic specimen testing. This role requires a strong understanding of electromagnetic principles and the ability to conduct EM measurements, prepare EM models, collect EM data, and maintain EM Facility readiness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform EM measurements as prescribed by Test Project sheets following established test procedures.
  • Prepare technical data as requested to test engineers.
  • Perform model prep work prescribed by Test project sheets at direction of EM test engineers.
  • Design and fabricate small fixturing as needed.
  • Collaborate with EM test engineers to address specific test initiatives such as quality, process improvements, test upgrades, and new equipment.
  • Ensure proper Security & EHS procedures are followed for data, process, and material handling.
  • Provide timely communications on significant test issues or developments.
Requirements
  • Associate's Degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Ability and willingness to obtain and maintain a US Department of Defense Security Clearance.
Desired Characteristics
  • Experience in radar range / EM test operations.
  • Knowledge of radar range data collection / EM procedures and measurements.
  • Experience in manual machining - with Bridgeport mill and lathe, grinding, drill press, tool making experience is a plus.
  • Ability to interpret draft drawings, design with CAD, and fabrication complex fixturing.
  • Experience in lifting large complex fixtures; Forklift training / license; Knowledge of cranes & hoists.
  • Experience setting up and operating vector analyzers and Antennas.
  • Experienced in working with EHS and understanding EHS protocols.
  • Demonstrated ability to organize and perform tasks in self-directed manner.
  • Good communication skills.
