General Responsibilities:

Under general supervision, the Radiology Technologist will engage in advanced professional tasks related to the exposure and processing of radiographic images and fluoroscopy examinations. The role includes:

  • Circulating to various diagnostic radiology areas as assigned, such as surgery, trauma, and pediatrics.
  • Operating standard and portable radiology equipment for various examinations.
  • Assisting physicians with specialized imaging procedures.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving equipment or film output issues.
  • Acting as a resource and mentor for other Radiographers and students.
  • Maintaining records, inventory, and equipment related to primary responsibilities.
  • Participating in training programs to enhance skills in specialized radiology areas.
Essential Skills:
  • Knowledge of diagnostic radiography techniques.
  • Proficiency in operating and maintaining radiographic equipment.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Competence in assessing and caring for patients of various ages.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Computer literacy.
Experience & Education:

Preferred: One (1) year of full-time experience as a certified or registered cardiovascular or radiologic technology professional in the relevant specialty.

Education: Associate's degree or higher, preferably from a CAAHEP accredited program with a focus on cardiovascular or radiologic technology.

Licenses & Certifications:

Current Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association is required upon hire. ARDMS, ARRT, and/or CCI credentials in the relevant specialty must be current upon hire or advancement.
