The Licensed Psychotherapist (Dependent) will be responsible for delivering comprehensive clinical services to individuals and their families. This role is crucial in supporting the mental health needs of clients across various settings.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide direct psychotherapy services to clients, including individuals and groups.
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop tailored treatment plans in collaboration with the Clinical Supervisor.
- Integrate therapeutic services within the home environment of clients, ensuring effective communication with parents, guardians, and staff.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and progress in compliance with organizational policies.
- Monitor therapy outcomes and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans as required.
- Facilitate referrals to additional clinical services when appropriate.
- Adhere to all regulations related to service delivery and billing practices.
- Engage in Quality Assurance initiatives as needed.
- Participate in Clinical Supervision in alignment with practice guidelines and state regulations.
- Ensure licensure is current and in accordance with IPSIDD standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
To be successful in this role, candidates must possess the following:
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with colleagues, clients, and their families.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality due to the sensitive nature of the position.
- Capacity to work independently while managing multiple responsibilities.
- Excellent organizational skills.
A Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Child and Family Therapy, or a related clinical field is required.
Licensure/Certification:Current New York State license as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Marriage and Family Therapist, or Licensed Mental Health Counselor, or a Limited Permit in Mental Health Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy is required.
