About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Scrub Technician to join our team at AdventHealth Heart of Florida. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety during surgical procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring the smooth operation of the operating room.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies, adhering to strict infection control protocols.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and safe patient care, communicating effectively to prevent errors and ensure a positive patient experience.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest surgical techniques and technologies.
Requirements
  • Current, valid State of Florida license as a Licensed Professional Nurse (LPN) or certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT).
  • BLS certification.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities with ease.
