General Surgery Locum Tenens Physician

About The RoleAya Locums is seeking a qualified physician for a locum tenens position in General Surgery. This role offers competitive compensation ranging from $175/hr to $200/hr.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate patients, document medical histories, and address inquiries and concerns.
- Diagnose and manage various medical conditions and injuries.
- Perform and interpret diagnostic tests, communicating results effectively to patients.
- Maintain up-to-date patient records, including treatments and information.
- Formulate treatment plans and recommendations tailored to patient needs.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Stay informed about advancements in medicine and best practices.
- Possession of an active and unrestricted physician license in the relevant state.
- Board certification or eligibility in a relevant specialty is highly preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
- Proficient in diagnostic and clinical decision-making.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with others.
- Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Dedication to providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and healthcare technology.
- 5 days a week, 8-hour shifts from 08:00 to 17:00.
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree.
- Completion of a residency program in the chosen specialty.
- Engagement in continuing medical education (CME) activities to maintain licensure.
