Advanced Training Systems Instructor for Military Operations

The Advanced Training Systems Exercise Instructor (ATSEI) is accountable to the Site Manager and serves as a Skillbridge role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver structured training sessions led by Contract Instructors for Training Devices and Systems Training, incorporating both traditional and innovative tools such as interactive whiteboards, computers, and video projection systems.
  • Assess student performance during training missions and document instructor effectiveness according to established standards.
  • Review and enhance the training curriculum, providing recommendations for program improvements.
  • Evaluate and suggest enhancements to mission scenarios to ensure their relevance and effectiveness.
  • Provide classroom instruction and constructive feedback on educational materials, including tests, lesson plans, and trainee guides, in accordance with current guidelines.
  • Conduct academic instruction through Instructor-led lectures and discussions covering Crew Resource Management, Instrument Ground School, and self-paced Computer Aided Instruction and Computer Based Training tailored to the required courses for each platform.
  • Assist in the inspection and certification of training devices and participate in special projects as needed.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities and duties as assigned by the Site Manager.

Compensation:
This position is classified as a Skillbridge role with a pay range of $0. Valiant considers various factors such as market data, business needs, internal equity, and the candidate's experience, education, and training when making an offer.

Applicants must be NATOPS qualified aircrew members (Pilot or Electronic Warfare Officer) of the FA-18EF aircraft within the last 5 years, with at least 1 deployed fleet tour and 500 flying hours in the FA-18EF, or have served as a designated FA-18EF Contract Instructor within the last 2 years.

Applicants will undergo a government security investigation and must meet eligibility criteria to obtain and maintain a minimum of a TS clearance for access to classified information.

Applicants must be U.S. citizens, able to obtain a U.S. passport, and possess a valid driver's license.

This role requires sustained mental alertness and concentration during training scenarios.

Ability to comprehend and follow both written and verbal instructions is essential.
