We are seeking a highly qualified American Sign Language (ASL) instructor to join our team at Colorado Early Colleges. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching ASL courses and developing curriculum consistent with community college objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and administer ASL education curriculum that aligns with community college objectives.
- Design and deliver engaging lesson plans and instructional materials to enhance student learning.
- Conduct ongoing assessment of student learning and modify instructional methods accordingly.
- Promote a safe and inclusive classroom environment that fosters individualized and small group instruction.
- Organize and maintain accurate records in Infinite Campus for student activities, achievements, and daily attendance.
- Ensure student conduct conforms with CEC's Student and Family Handbook and policies.
- Collaborate with other CEC staff members and participate in staff meetings and professional development as requested.
- Masters degree in a field directly related to the area of instruction, or a masters degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the subject area of instruction.
- Prior teaching experience is preferred.
- Approval from the community college partner is required prior to start.
- All offers of employment are conditional upon a successful background check and references.
- The selected applicant must verify their legal right to be employed in the United States within 72 hours of employment.
