Job Summary

Provide safe and efficient transportation services to the public in Bell County's Urbanized Areas.

Operate micro transit buses or vans, following predetermined manifests and ensuring compliance with all Hill Country Transit District (HCTD) policies and procedures.

Assist passengers with disabilities and maintain a clean and safe vehicle environment.

Collect fares, provide information to the public, and communicate effectively with supervisors and dispatch.

Work varying shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting and moving up to 25 pounds, and administering CPR and first aid as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Operate micro transit buses or vans safely and efficiently.
  2. Follow predetermined manifests and comply with all HCTD policies and procedures.
  3. Assist passengers with disabilities and maintain a clean and safe vehicle environment.
  4. Collect fares and provide information to the public.
  5. Communicate effectively with supervisors and dispatch.
  6. Work varying shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  7. Meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting and moving up to 25 pounds, and administering CPR and first aid as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Valid Texas Driver's License (CDL preferred but not required).
  • Regular attendance and reliability are critical to business operations.
  • Available and willing to work varying shifts, hours, and days as assigned.
  • Must be willing and able to drive fixed route vehicle, special transit vehicle, or passenger van.
  • Have no more than one (1) moving violation in the past 12 months and no more than two (2) moving violations in the past 36 months.
  • Driver's license cannot have been suspended or revoked within the previous three years.
  • Must have reliable means of communication.
