Key Responsibilities
  • Utilize pharmacy computer and robotic systems to support medication management and dispensing.
  • Adhere to essential policies and procedures, including those relating to proper use of medications and the formulary.
  • Fill outpatient prescription orders, perform narcotic breakout/vault duties, and inpatient pharmacy duties as needed.
  • Provide patient medication information and counseling.
  • Order medications using the DMLSS system and educate staff on pharmacy operations and policies.
Requirements
  • Certificate: Certified by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB).
  • Education: Graduate from a formal pharmacy technician program accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP).
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year full-time experience as a Pharmacy Technician within the last 3 years.
  • U.S. Citizenship: Required.
  • BLS Certification through the American Heart Association.
