We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our team at GPAC, a leading search firm specializing in placing quality professionals within multiple industries across the United States.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and enforce a documented system of accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Manage and coordinate with outsourced functions for Company and related entities, ensuring seamless operations and effective communication.
  • Oversee and direct the operations of the accounting department, including the evaluation and improvement of the current organizational structure to achieve company goals and objectives.
  • Implement and maintain an active and accurate monthly work-in-process system, including the development of internal information systems to track WIP, progress billings, and job cost labor.
  • Prepare annual budgets that meet management's profit goals, working closely with estimators to develop and manage pricing multipliers.
  • Track budget performance and modify bidding and pricing strategies to maintain profit goals.
  • Oversee accounting operations of subsidiary corporations, ensuring control systems, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures are in place.
  • Ensure timely payment of accounts payable, taking advantage of reasonable discounts.
  • Collect accounts receivable promptly and process payroll in a timely manner.
  • Complete periodic reconciliations of all accounts and ensure timely debt payments.
  • Maintain the chart of accounts and an orderly accounting filing system, ensuring a system of controls over accounting transactions.
  • Issue timely and complete financial statements for management and accountants, holding management accountable for regular review.
  • Coordinate the preparation of quarterly and annual reports, recommending benchmarks for measuring company operations.
  • Calculate and issue financial and operating metrics, managing the production of the annual budget and forecasts.
  • Provide financial analyses as needed, particularly for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
  • Coordinate the provision of information to external auditors for the annual audit, monitoring debt levels and compliance with debt covenants.
  • Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Coordinate and implement Human Resources functions within the company, including benefits, PTO, remuneration, bonus/profit share, and other related matters.
