Nursing Director for Pediatric Intensive Care

We are seeking an experienced nursing director to lead our team at Dell Children's Medical Center. As a Nursing Director for Pediatric Intensive Care, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality patient care in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU).

The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical expertise, leadership skills, and the ability to coordinate unit staffing, provide leadership, and ensure the implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care for assigned nursing specialty areas.

This is a full-time night shift position that requires a Registered Nurse with a Bachelor's degree and at least one year of cumulative job-specific experience in pediatric critical care. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in PICU and 1-2 years of charge RN experience.

The nurse leader will be responsible for assigning, directing, educating, and monitoring nursing and support associates during assigned shifts. They will meet with staff, exercise independent judgment, and plan shifts, services, and patient care.

The estimated salary for this position is $90,000-$120,000 per year, depending on education and experience.   • Facilitate availability of adequate material, resources and supplies.
  • Set priorities appropriate to daily patient/physician dynamics.
  • Provide input into hiring, training, directing, development and evaluation of staff.
