Senior Geologist

Job Title: Senior Geologist - Landfill and Mining Expert

Job Summary:

Bunnell Lammons Engineering is seeking a highly experienced Senior Geologist to lead our Hydrogeological Services Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing complex geological projects, analyzing data, and communicating findings to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Management: Lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and budget adherence.
• Data Analysis: Interpret geological, hydrogeological, and chemical data from contaminated sites, and provide recommendations for corrective actions.
• Team Leadership: Provide guidance, training, and mentoring to junior staff, and serve as a subject matter expert in soil and groundwater.
• Client Management: Act as a liaison and advocate for clients with state and federal environmental regulatory agencies.
• Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, and plans, and ensure compliance with industry and company standards.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in geology, civil engineering, environmental science, or a related field.
• Experience: 10 years of senior-level experience, with 5+ years of direct experience in project management, staff supervision, and technical proposal preparation.
• Credentials: Professional Geologist (PG) credentials.
• Skills: Proficiency in groundwater statistics, effective technical writing, strong oral communication, presentation, and time management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree: M.S. degree in geology or a related field.
• Groundwater Modeling: Experience with groundwater modeling software.
• GIS and CAD: Proficiency in GIS and CAD software.
• OSHA Certification: OSHA 40-hour HAZPOWER Certification.
