Job Summary

We're seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Backroom Merchandise Associate to join our team. As a key member of our sales floor team, you'll be responsible for delivering a seamless shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service, engaging with customers and responding to their needs in a timely and professional manner.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a clean and organized store environment, adhering to all operational and merchandise standards.
  • Process customer purchases and returns accurately, handling cash and credit transactions with precision.
  • Promote our credit and loyalty programs to customers, ensuring they understand the benefits and value of our offerings.
  • Maintain and uphold our merchandising philosophy, following established procedures and standards to ensure a visually appealing and engaging shopping experience.
  • Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed, ensuring the sales floor and entire store meet our high standards of cleanliness and organization.
  • Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback, embracing a culture of continuous improvement and growth.
  • Adhere to all labor laws, policies, and procedures, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment.
  • Support and participate in store shrink reduction goals and programs, maintaining a keen eye for detail and a commitment to excellence.
  • Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment, reporting any hazards or concerns to management promptly.
Requirements
  • Excellent customer service skills, with a passion for delivering a seamless shopping experience.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs, adapting to changing circumstances with ease.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail and a keen eye for accuracy.
  • Capable of multi-tasking, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations, remaining calm and composed under pressure.
  • Capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Works effectively with peers and supervisors, building strong relationships and fostering a positive team culture.
  • Retail customer experience preferred, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional service and results.

This position has a starting pay range of $13.00 to $13.50 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
