Child Care Developmental Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and caring Child Care Developmental Specialist to join our team at the Coast Guard Community Services Command.
Salary InformationThe estimated annual salary for this position is $31,584.00.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement age-appropriate educational experiences that promote healthy emotional, social, intellectual, and physical development in children.
- Collaborate with directors and teachers to design and implement curriculum and activities that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Create a program environment that fosters positive interactions among children, youth, and adults.
- Plan and lead engaging activities for program participants.
- Interact with children using approved child guidance techniques and maintain control of their whereabouts and safety at all times.
- A high school diploma or equivalent and be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Possess excellent interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with children, youth, and colleagues.
- Capable of lifting and carrying objects weighing 45 pounds or more, as well as standing, walking, bending, and stooping regularly.
