We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team at Trigo ADR Americas. As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be responsible for executing and expanding key initiatives within the supplier quality organization.
Key Responsibilities- Supplier Audits: Assess suppliers' manufacturing and quality processes through audits, ensuring compliance with various standards, including AS9100.
- MRB Activities: Lead and/or support Material Review Board (MRB) activities to achieve optimal disposition of non-conforming material and implement corrective actions.
- Root Cause Analysis: Perform on-site supplier visits to analyze root causes of quality issues and verify corrective actions.
- Continuous Improvement: Promote and facilitate the use of customer-preferred techniques, such as Lean, Six-Sigma, and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), to drive continuous improvement.
- Supplier Performance Reporting: Develop and maintain detailed and accurate reporting of supplier performance and quality improvement progress.
- Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and assistance to suppliers to solve process and product quality issues and improve internal and outgoing quality performance.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience as a Quality Engineer in an Aerospace Manufacturing Environment.
- 5-8 years of FAI experience with AS9102 standards at a quality engineering level.
- Strong understanding of various engineering processes, standard drawings, and conventions.
- 5-8 years' experience with ISO 9100 and AS9100 Quality Management Systems Processes.
- Knowledge of FAA, EAR, and ITAR standards and regulations.
- Experience leading customer audits.
- Strong verbal, written, and communication skills.
- Project management, time management, problem-solving, and organization skills.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a technical discipline.
- ASQ or equivalent professional certifications.
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification.
Incumbents must perform work in an efficient, effective, and timely manner with minimal direction. Typical office conditions, directly working with the Quality management team, working with the SMS team, and external customers.
