Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at Terex. As a key member of our purchasing department, you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing commodities and services to support our production requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement sourcing strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate prices, terms, and conditions.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and strategies.
  • Manage and administer purchase orders, contracts, and vendor master information in our ERP system.
  • Ensure compliance with purchasing policies, procedures, and legal/ethical obligations.
  • Identify and resolve supplier-related issues and discrepancies in a timely and professional manner.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of our company's procurement processes and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with experience with Oracle and other SQL applications a plus.
