About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our team at the McAllen Convention Center. As a Dishwasher, you will play a critical role in maintaining the highest standards of sanitation and cleanliness in our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sanitation and Cleaning: Ensure all tableware, serving materials, cooking equipment, and small wares are washed and sanitized to the highest standards.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Implement M.S.D.S. criteria, food and product safety, and Food and Beverage Policies and Procedures to maintain a safe and healthy environment for our guests.
  • Housekeeping and Organization: Remove all trash and maintain loading and receiving areas in a safe and clean condition.
  • Inventory Management: Stock plates, glasses, pots, utensils, and pans after cleaning.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Clean and sanitize all food service areas and equipment.
Requirements
  • Experience: Previous experience working in a casual and/or fine dining atmosphere is highly desirable.
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) is required.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with employees, co-workers, management staff, and guests in a clear, business-like, and respectful manner.
  • Certifications: Possess a valid food handling certificate and alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations.
